Oily and Combination Skin: Acne Health Tips

Combination and oily skin do have different skin care requirements, but they do share some common points. For example, both skin types require similar forms of acne care, which means that they can also be treated with similar skin care products.

The key to being able to deal with this problem is to establish a regular cleansing routine. With mild to moderate cases of acne (facial and back acne), a regular cleansing routine can be more effective than over the counter acne creams. However, keep in mind that severe forms of acne should be monitored and treated by a medical professional.

First Step: Cleanse Acne Prone Skin

A soapy cleanser is ideal for both combination skin and oily skin. Cleansers containing salicylic acid or retinol will help stabilize the production of sebum and reduce clogged pores.

Now, please understand that by “soapy” we don’t mean that soap and water are a good choice, in fact, both of these components promote dryness. This dryness will then trigger extra sebum production, which will subsequently lead to clogged pores and acne lesions.

Contrary to popular belief, you can effectively treat oily and combination skin with a natural acne remedy. One of the best natural cleansers for oily skin is milk of magnesia which can be used by simply rubbing onto your skin and then rinsing off with warm water.

Second Step: Toning, Maybe - Exfoliating, Definitely

An effective daily cleansing routine will also require the use of a toner, however, if the cleanser you are using is good enough to clean your skin then it won’t be necessary to tone your skin. If you do decide to use a toner, then make sure that it is alcohol-free.

Exfoliating, on the other hand, is a must with oily and combination skin. You should exfoliate once a week. If your skin shows no real change and is still dull, then try exfoliating twice a week.

Both oily skin and combination skin are quite resilient and can resist facial scrubs, however, you should still be very gentle when applying an exfoliant. Also keep in mind that with excessive cleansing your skin will produce more sebum if it is scrubbed too hard.

Step 3: Use the Appropriate Moisturizer

Just because your skin is oily or combination doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be moisturized. Oily skin requires moisturizer just like other types of skin. However, choose a light, water-based moisturizer so that your skin does not feel too coated.

Extra Step: Acne Creams & Spot Treatments

A successful acne remedy regime also includes acne creams for spot treatment. Using an acne cream for spot treatment will help boost the effectiveness of your cleansing routine and minimize any possible irritation to healthy skin.

BIOSKINCLEAR is a revolutionary skin care cream that can be used for both acne treatment and scar treatment. It contains a very effective natural ingredient that can help eliminate acne bacteria and dissolve abnormal tissue to finally help eliminate scars from acne. What is this gentle natural ingredient? Snail serum.
